Accidents in the workplace are a common occurrence.  If you have ever worked in a restaurant then you know about the burns in the kitchen, slip and falls from spills on the floor and there can also be cut fingers.  It is the job of the employer to make sure that person who was injured, got to the hospital for medical care.  Then came the job of making sure that this person was compensated with Worker’s Compensation for the time they needed to be away from work to heal.

Unfortunately, not all employers are the same so you might have heard horror stories about employees and their injuries. For some, this injury is an event left for that person to deal with them self.  They also had to fight with their employer to get him to will out the paperwork that is needed to get the Worker’s Comp.

If you have had an accident at work, then you have had your own experience and your own story.  Most cases of injuries in the workplace leave the employer to cover the medical expenses and wages that are lost because of lost hours at work. If the injury was caused by your own negligence, then it is up to you to take care of your injury.
